Autumn’s Promise - In Virginia the goldenrod with its bright, colorful yellow flowers announce the approach of autumn. The days become shorter and the leaves begin their gradual annual eruption of breath-taking color. Time continues and the leaves fall, days become short, and the branches become bare. We follow this same path as we cycle through the phases of our lives with changes and promises of what the future holds - repetition, cycles, beginnings and endings. Awarded First Place for Surface Embroidery at Woodlawn Exhibit 2009 and First Place for Surface Embroidery at Callaway 2010.
